DeBoer should at least interview so that he can tell Washington recruits that he turned down the Bama job to stay at Washington.

What if the Alabama athletic director chains DeBoer to the radiator until he signs?HairyBallsDawg said:DeBoer should at least interview so that he can tell Washington recruits that he turned down the Bama job to stay at Washington.

DeBoer is exactly who Alabama should go after. Incredible coach, a driven proven winner, even keeled, knows how to take advantage of the portal an NIL, …..etc.
Following Saban to that job though. Not a good idea. If it opened up, the Michigan job would be a better gig for him. The thing is, if the administration will pay him and his staff, there really is no reason for him to leave. Don James was in this position many times during his career, but chose to stay, uniquely build his own program and legacy. And outside of Mike Lude, the current administration is far more supportive than the one James had.
We’ll see what happens in the coming days/weeks, Washington better put its best foot forward, it would be stupid not to go all in on keeping DeBoer in place. -
If Washington doesn't do everything in its power to keep DeBoer, then they will never be serious about football.Southerndawg said:DeBoer is exactly who Alabama should go after. Incredible coach, a driven proven winner, even keeled, knows how to take advantage of the portal an NIL, …..etc.

Because that’s not at all the messaging I’m getting from friends in the Tyee admin who deal with major giving initiatives and budgeting…. -
