1. Penix did not play well but Grubb/Deboer did him no favors by not getting him in rhythm early. They need to be better, Deboer's competitive enough we won't see something like this in a big game again.

2. Lee Marks needs to go, how is Will Nixon your best options behind DJ?

3. The defense really played well sans the 3 big runs early where it looked they stopped playing, almost like they were use to tagging off in practice and forgot it was the real game.

4. Why didn't the team stay down south? It wasted too much time and messed with body clocks. Sounds like an excuse but that shit matters

5. The gameplan to handle all the different pressures from Michigan was poor, Deboer even apologized after the game. Wish we could have been effective against their 2 high looks with the quick passing game.

6. Buelow and Kalepo got destroyed, how are you 6"6 335 getting put on your ass?

7. There was some obvious missed calls, whatever. Be better throughout the game and tbat doesn't matter.

8. We could have done alright in the run game if DJ's leg weren't absolutely cooked.

9. Recruiting might matter? Dannen and Deboer need to invest heavily into the portal and HS. The depth isn't there and we couldn't overcome those key injuries

10. Penix is still a legend, it sucks it had to end this way

They just need better players at RB. Not sure I’m ready to fire anyone on offensive side of the ball.

The two hour time difference isn’t as significant as three hours for body clock.

Penix one of the all time greats at UW. Tough to see him perform like that but thems the breaks.

Last thought: UW is a big time football program again. It's time to act like it in staffing, facilities, investment, NIL, recruiting, fundraising, and infrastructure. It seems like that's what Dannen was brought in to do.

I hated the pre game messaging of Deboer, he obviously looks up to Michigan being from the midwest and we played scared. We abandoned our philosophy of trying to make teams pay down the field when they bring pressure.


Looked like a Pete team. Deboer went shrivel dick for the first time in his career. Learn from it and move on.

This is my takeaway.

Tons of huskies here. Tons of people with money that want to keep the train going.
