I think Bandes leaving a season on the table kinda encapsulates why he never took the next step from rotational player to starter. Just didn't have the want-to to be great. He was one of the highest ranked DT recruits UW signed in the CP era.

Ended up being next to his family at the Cal game in 2022. Really fun group. I was approaching the levels of drunk I was on the post-game P12CG pod by the end of that game. He ended up getting good reps this year in the rotation. Appreciate his contribution to the program.

Bandes might be the least talked about complete bust in awhile. He was a borderline 5 star and did basically nothing without major injuries.

Helped that Huard and Smalls were much more high-profile busts.
