Phil’s bass playing is the highlight of this record. Took me along time to enjoy this record because I got turned on to Jailbreak first and then had to work my way around the catalog.

Was little over a year ago that I was at the Phil statue and drinking Guinness and Irish chowder at Bruxelle's. Everyone I talked to lit up when I explained one of the reasons I went to Ireland was my love of Thin Lizzy and most said that Phil was the true musical icon of the country.

Vagabonds is like so many Thin Lizzy albums in that's it's mega weird and if you played it for most people they would be surprised that's who the band was. I'm a ballad guy and Little Girl In Bloom and A Song For While I'm Away are two of their best.
