I dealt with Steve a lot while he was at Washington. First thing to know is he is incredibly bright. He learned a lot at Washington and fought some demons. He's a bright, articulate, charming, engaging guy who is also competitive as hell. He's appeared to put his demons behind him.
You're going to love Sark. It will be interesting to see who he fills his staff with. Knowing the competitive nature of Sark, I'm sure he negotiated a large assistant salary pool. If he gets Tosh Lupoi on staff, watch out. Tosh is one of the best recruiters I've ever dealt with. He's currently with Atlanta.
He's an outstanding recruiter and phenomenal working with QB's. He trusts his guys and has an edge. Guys love playing for him.
Texas didn't hit a home run with Sark. They hit a grand slam. -
One-time love,
Take care how you use it
Try to make it last all night
And if you take your pick,
Be careful how you choose it
Sometimes it's hard to feel it bite
Feel it bite
A man I know
Went down to Louisiana,
Had himself a bad, bad fight
And when the sun peeked through
John Cameron with Suzanna,
He kissed the whiskers, left and right -
Why do people continue to give this shitbag any money?

I do t hate Sark. Never will. I appreciated what he did to some level and always will. I’m glad he’s not our coach though. And always will be glad. And soon Texas will hate him too.

By the time Sark got here I was checked out.
I did enjoy the Holiday Bowl win. And the opening drive against LSU
To me it was meaningless that he took over Owen 12. Never should have happened in the first place
Couldn't beat Oregon. 7 win ceiling. Whatever
I am legitimately surprised he FINISHED this season. So far -

Petersen already proved Kim wrong, and Deboer is an even bigger data point to that end. This program has always been capable of big things, but Sark was never good enough or smart enough to be the one to see that through.
Maybe he is at a place like Texas where half the roster is a 5 star player, I don't know. But what I do know is that he's far and away the worst coach of the four guys who are in the playoffs. -
There is probably something to be said for Satan's School for Girls, I mean Saban
Lane and Sark are much better coaches now
Sark learned that a roster of 5 star linemen is a good place to start -

Best believe if he accidentally stumbles into a natty we’re never going to hear about the time Kim was right.PurpleBaze said:By Kim Grinolds

But not particularly worried about that -
Beating a Bammer trying to get its reads down was NICE win. Sark beat PC once too.RaceBannon said:By the time Sark got here I was checked out.

Losing to OU was pretty Sarkish though. And it's not like the rest of the schedule was full big time games.
Sark is 25-13 at Texas. Fats is 24-2.
I like Fats in this one. -
I’ll give Sark some props for his first 2 UW seasons. After that though he overstayed his welcome.

Bump!
