As most know, Disney is a woke company. Probably the poster child for a socialistic woke corporation. They are down over a billion in losses on their most recent investments. People don't like their woke bullchit. Most Americans don't want anything to do with a product that they paid for preaching far left crap.

I am a bit surprised that there is any acknowledgment of their screw ups and the rejection many Americans are heaping on them. Like the MSM, I just assumed Disney would just sit and watch their beliefs destroy their company/industry so I do give their share holders credit for putting pressure on a bunch of idiots.

In a new corporate disclosure, Disney acknowledges that its controversial political and social agenda is costing the company and shareholders.

In its annual SEC report, Disney acknowledges that “we face risks relating to misalignment with public and consumer tastes and preferences for entertainment, travel and consumer products.” In an implied nod to Smith, the company observes that “the success of our businesses depends on our ability to consistently create compelling content,” and that “Generally, our revenues and profitability are adversely impacted when our entertainment offerings and products, as well as our methods to make our offerings and products available to consumers, do not achieve sufficient consumer acceptance. Further, consumers’ perceptions of our position on matters of public interest, including our efforts to achieve certain of our environmental and social goals, often differ widely and present risks to our reputation and brands.”

As Budweiser found out, tough to put the toothpaste back in the tube. When you destroy major billion dollar franchises trying to appeal to a small minority of mentally deficient individuals who hate the franchises, it isn't going to grow your market share. Top marketing and finance people graduating from supposedly elite Ivy League MBA programs were indoctrinated into CRT and DEI and as someone once sang,

"Patty Hearst heard the burst of Rolland's Thompson Gun and bought it."
Gettin' all Warren Zevon on us now?

Oops. I always thought that song was Zevon but it is Bruce Cockburn.

Let that be a lesson boys and girls. Too much crown over 6 decades can do that to the memory.

Saw Zevon back in the day in Portland at the Starry Night. Good times.

I went home with the waitress, the way I always do
How was I to know, she was with the Russians, too?

I was gambling in Havana, I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns and money, dad, get me out of this, ha

Excitable Boy is funny and has sadly come true.
