Jesus was real. I'm not so sure about the immaculate conception and miracles. Also, a creepy priest used to give me stale bread & claim it was his body. Weird shit.ThomasFremont said:

For starters, they're both imaginary characters. And that's just for starters! -

I don't discuss the divinity of Jesus or global warming on the internet. But he is real and he is spectacular

That's a pretty definitive statement for a historical figure with exactly zero contemporary evidence to show that they actually existed.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

Yeah, I know, one million percent of historians agree that he did exist. But that's not true. There isn't consensus on Jesus. Except among Christian Historians. And they have a small conflict of interest.
I think the case is pretty weak. But it's for each person to decide on their own. There is definitely not enough to be definitive about it though. -

I like to use historical text that has been tampered with to prove my argument. I like to do that.oregonblitzkrieg said:

All religions press a nerve. The same way people that think vaccines cause autism do. The same way climate change deniers do.CuntWaffle said:

People openly and willingly dismissing critical thinking, to the detriment of society, so they can believe whatever they feel like is the single biggest problem in the world.
That's why it presses a nerve.
