It’s atrocious to watch but gets things done. Very bizarre. Last night was OSU’s lowest output this season. This type of stat has been around all season long and doesn’t match what our eyes see.

That being said, as I watched the second half, it was really frustrating. One team had a lot to play for, the other team had nothing to lose. Washington would go three and out and do the sensible thing and punt. OSU was in four-down territory the whole second half. Defense averaged three decent/good plays to one "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?" tackling abortion the whole time I was watching, and that extra down every set kept the chains moving for OSU.
In other words, Beavis was scoring, but UW was making it hard. On the one hand, forcing OSU to work down the field four plays per 12 yards was burning a scary amount of clock and keeping the ball out of Penix' giant hands (everyone says so). On the other hand, I couldn't help but think, "This is not going to pay off for OSU. Eventually, UW will string four decent defensive plays in a row, and the game will be over."
Which is exactly what happened.
We were -1 against Oregon, -3 against ASU, and -2 against Stanford. USC was 0 and Ute was 0 until the final play of the game
Going +2 against OSU was our best all season and a huge reason why we won
