Neither Lanning or Deboer are going to A&M and if either of them did, after watching Michigan/Penn St, they are too fucking stupid for it to matter to either school.

All jokes aside, I think Sanders could do some damage at A&M. Honestly, what do they have to lose. Nothing and nobody ever works down there, and it makes no sense. They have an endowment that is literally 5X what UW's is (and UW isn't poor by any stretch), and it has a lore to people that I do not understand. College Station, IMO, sucks, the campus has no real redeeming qualities and their football history is ok, at best.

So with all that, why wouldn't you swing for the fence. Take a guy who has a high ceiling and low floor and see what happens. Sanders could recruit the living fuck out of the states of Texas, Louisiana and Florida, which are as fertile as it gets, and continue what he's doing at Colorado. Yeah, they're losing games, but they're in them all but one. Even @GrandpaSankey can see he's leveled them up in year 1, haterade or no haterade.

If I'm A&M, I'd try that one on for a few seasons. Sanders already has money, and he's hungry to show people he can coach at this level, so he probably wouldn't make them break the bank - but even if he did, their bank is so fucking huge that it just doesn't matter.

Guessing this is Lanning's Auburn that gets him a big raise and he's gonezo next year or the year after.

It’s a sample size of two. The move to the Big 10 should help retain the HC save a coach that has a “dream job” or they’re so good that Bama or Ohio St come calling.
