People forget that we had 3 different opportunities to go up 18 on Oregon and fucked them all up
Ever think of that? -
Equally fucktarded were the players who ran by the ball as it was sitting outside the end zone.
The dearth of football IQ is deep and wide on this team. -

An off Penix did better than any other QB against UtahHuskyJW said:Weather was fine

The football IQ has won them 17 in a row -
The wins have come in spite of football IQ. Penalties and defensive play support this.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

This team has more heart and effort than any Husky team I can recall. But they’re not the brightest bulbs in the ballpark. And that’s fine, just win. -
Coaches will tell you they need to cut back on the penalties yet many great teams rack up penalties. Like the 91 team
If you're getting pre snap penalties you're bad. If you're knocking fools out you're good -
I guess I’d feel better if UW was knocking fools out.
I’ll just be happy with wins. However they come. -
I think Deboner is the anti-pete. He plays fast and loose. Shows up in how they play under pressure but also shows up in how they don't throttle people. Lots of penalties but also a shit load of clutch bombs and even defensive plays when needed.GrundleStiltzkin said:

It's also pretty obvious the kids are out there having fun. Even the announcers notice it regularly.
Might bite them at some point but 10-0 is 10-0. -
Having fun is what it’s all about. And winning is fucking fun.

They got a late hit, roughing the passer on the Pig Farmer, who went from looking like Peyton Manning...to the 2013 Super Bowl Peyton Manning.TheHB said:I guess I’d feel better if UW was knocking fools out.

Year 2 Peterlips was playing grab ass with Southern Mississippi on the way to a 7-6 season.
Portal has helped immeasurably, but still.
21-2 in year fucking two. Unreal. -
I’ll live with personal fouls and stuff like that. Toe the line.RaceBannon said:Coaches will tell you they need to cut back on the penalties yet many great teams rack up penalties. Like the 91 team

I don't buy that you have to accept the mental error penalties, especially personal fouls, in order to play fast and loose. Every time UW has extended an opponent's drive with a third down penalty, they have gone on to score a touchdown on the drive. I haven't looked it up but prove me wrong.
I think you shouldn't be satisfied until you're perfect. There are plenty of things I'll keep bitching about until UW is there...whichever comes first between perfect in the eye test or perfect 15-0.
In 91 I thought the run was over every time the other team got a first down. I specifically remember being on the top rail of the aurora bridge multiple times during the apple cup, which I think UW won 56-21.
Here's a hot take. If UW was less penalized *our margins of victory would be wider and a top 4 ranking pretty likely. Plus the quooks would fuck off more. -
The team definitely plays with some serious confidence and swag. Petermen's defenses had some swag but weren't allowed to show it much. Brownsox pointed once and felt bad about it.
That confidence is so important. If they can take the next step and clean some things up, watch out.
