Penix has masked so much of our issues last two years. We are/(were)? an elite passing team and every other aspect (run O, Run/Pass D) UW is Average at tippy top best using purple colored Dawgman Glasses. When the pass game isn't perfect with no drops/turnovers/sacks/penalties then it will be game on with this unable to tackle and create any turnovers D who gets stuck on field way to long which equals game on.Muttzen said:A spicy take - I disagree.
We are outplaying our overall talent level thanks to the QB - WR tandem that DeBoer has brought in / developed. That was his doing - and it has paid dividends.
The rest of our team looks good enough to win when everything is clicking smoothly, but we clearly don't have the depth of say, Oregon.
Next year will tell us quite a bit about how much this year was about catching everything just right. Looking ugly or not, we are the last undefeated team in Pac-12 history.
Will we continue to improve development? can we improve recruiting? will we find another star QB?
This year and last year could have been good, and yet somehow, this could be a Helfrich-esque facade. But i think him bringing in Penix, and having it click shows that DeBoer et al. have a system that can work, and they have a track record of making it work. -
19-2. Winners win.

I became a fan during 0-12, a 15 game winning streak is foreign to me. I don’t care how shitty it is. He’s the best coach by far of my lifetime. Time to get real coaches that can recruit. Dannen better give Deboner a huge staff and NIL budget because dude is allergic to losing.

I don't give a fuck about win streaks. I want Championships. If he gets Championships by barely winning games he should be blowing out so be it. So far he hasn't done that. Until then fuck DeBoner, Grub and his bull shit defense and limp dick offensive play calling.
This team on offense has dipped by injuries or just garbage play calling. Doesn't matter. They are just down. Panix is not the same either.
Defense. Just absolute trash. They can't stop anyone.
I hate DeBoner until he wins a Natty. -
I had a flashback to Browning running backwards 20 yards for a sack against Stanford when Penix took a 12 yard sack (sandwiched between holding and a delay of game penalties). Had a moment of panic that the Stanford curse was gonna get us again but this year is different.UW_Doog_Bot said:
Very much this, petermen always lost these kinds of tight games against shit opponents. Deboner wins them....but we seem to be having a lot of them.FireCohen said:def he is small time, but he does have odd luck. does not get tight in close games and figures out a way to roll in the mud and get shitty wins.
Each week is a different game with different circumstances. It’s been weird.
I don’t see us? losing more than 1 game in the regular season and even then I’m hedging my bets. I think we finish 12-0.
