Killing People Is Harder Than You'd Think

It was death by apnea. And it went on for an hour and a half. I made a pencil stroke on a pad of paper, each time his mouth opened, and ticked off more than 640, which was not all of them, because the doctor came in at least four times and blocked my view.
I turned to my friend Troy Hayden, the anchor and reporter from Fox 10 News, who was sitting next to me. Troy and I witnessed another execution together in 2007, and he had seen one before that, so he also knows what it looks like.
"I don't think he's going to die," I said.
A moment later, Troy turned to me and whispered, "I think you're right."

I think these repeated failures in the execution chamber are going to open a door for a successful 8th Amendment challenge.
Each state should be free to choose its death penalty policy. Each state should also have the freedom to ship their killers off to Texas to get executed.
1. Crucifixion - Most famous method of all-time. Good enough for the Romans, and can also be performed upside down. Nuff said on that.
2. Blowing from a gun - Victim is tied to end of cannon, cannon is fired.
3. Death by trampling/crushing - Typically performed with elephants or persons the size of Fetters.
4. Stoning - Nothing wrong with getting stoned.
5. Drowing - *gurgle*
6. Drawn and quarter/beheading - It's like taking a puzzle apart. Much more fun than putting one together.
7. Gas chamber - Very efficient. Works well in groups.
8. Firing squad - Great for dealing with political opponents, and fun for the whole family.
9. Electric chair - Smells bad I hear.
10. Hanging - Kind of boring to watch IMO.
11. Lethal injection - Boring and humane. Who the fuck wants that?
12. Cal
Never underestimate the desire of a company to do whatever it takes to use the government in an effort to pass legislation to give them a competitive advantage.
American "capitalism" at work.
