LOL, WSU? Actually Recruiting? Me and a Beaver buddy got into the is very debate last night at the local pub, and that's all we could come up with! There is no other reason a 4-star finds his way to Pullman, (for the record not a Beavers call us "hole", and some are well thought). Anyway, maybe that's the way it gets done in Texas, he just brought the bagmen to Pullman with him.
Back to OSU this year; they could surprise us with 9 wins, but I think Riley will be good for 7-8 wins. I would be more confident in Riley but his notable recent opening season blunders have me scratching my head.
Next is how is Mannion going to do without cooks? How is he going to do down the stretch when OL injuries take there toll in a tougher more even division? His passer efficiency rating was 25 points lower against conference opponents in 2013, I don't see that getting any better this year. In the end he will get his PAC records, and in a year he may even get a Top 10 type signing bonus, but that only happens if he remains protected and doesn't get hurt. He's got a Pro style arm, but for the Beavs to get to 9 wins he has to remain upright all season, (ok I am capt obvious here), and I just don't see it.
Beavers go Bowling, but only because of a soft OCC.
