I'm mad too, but glad to have escaped the depression and dejection that would have come from pissing that game away.
UW won because they have the better QB, better coach, and were playing at home. That's what I thought would happen and it did. It is what it is.
Bottom line for me is that UW could have fucking boatraced Oregon if they cash in one TD up 29-18. Hell, even a field goal would have been great.
Burn some clock and make Oregon try to score fast.
UW was controlling the game in the 3rd, that's what I'll remember too. UW is flawed but the ceiling is still really high.

Grubb took the shot to Odunze to do it. He had a half a step. Penix just overthrew. Oregon has irrational confidence though. I don't think they would have roared back. Take some time off and start the 4th with a two TD or more lead forces Oregon to have Nix throw downfield consistently. Oregon does not want Nix doing that.WoolleyDoog said:

There were certainly things that were frustrating. Two three and outs late was horrible. The wildcat was horrifying. Never roll that garbage out again inside the one. Tackling was rough but Iriving and the back up are very good and ran down UW’s throat most the game.
It’s not easy winning 13 straight and this team caught Arizona at the right time.
Beating your hated rival with both teams being ranked in the top 10, 7 lead changes and two back to back perfect passes to win the game was in my book incredible. The throw to Polk in double coverage is not being talked about enough. Unreal throw and catch. On top of the rumors of a rib injury for Penix.
Coaching matters in these types of games. UW won both Oregon games with less than a 10% chance to win according to ESPN win probability with 6 minutes left in both games.
Nix has shown that the big moments are not his strong suit. The loss has to sting big time. -
