Can you hike 50+ miles of Big Sur?BearsWiin said:

Washington’s advantage is the large bays (for both shipping and aquaculture) and the undeveloped coast on the peninsula. Where else in the contiguous 48 can you hike 50+ miles of undeveloped, non-swampland coastline like you can do on the coastal portion of Olympic National Park?.
Not trying to be a smartass, I really don't know. Only driven the PCH once, never hiked it. -

Gulf Shores/Orange Beach is a nice area. It's very hard to beat the Florida panhandle/East Alabama white sand beaches in the contiguous 48. The Clearwater area is really pretty too.dirtysouwfdawg said:
Gulf Shores works. Forgotten Coast, FL, is shit.Purple_Pills said:

I have been to every county along the coast of the contiguous 48 states, except three, including the entire Gulf Coast, so I am an amateur expert on this topic.
I’ve lived in in Foley, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and spent time all along the way.
I challenge thy to a dual as gulf coast superiority guy. -
I agree with the panhandle being the best. Hadn’t hit anything south of tallatrashy.dnc said:

Quite honestly, #myvandals win a bunch of those categories.huskyhooligan said:Too many @Swaye on Washington coast, keeping the WA coast down. The fact the WA coast is mere miles from the wettest spot in the contiguous 48 plays a big part. Also that half of it is National Park or very restricted by blond haired, blue eyed, swede infested (those loggers had to unload in someone) native populations means most of WA coast is inaccessible, or just less so. That said 2nd Beach at La Push is beautiful.
Coast: Oregon
Inland Water ways: WA

Grumpy Desert People: WA
White Wakanda: OR
Proximity to Oppressive Taxes: OR

Overpriced Clothing: WA (Filson > Pendleton)

I’ll bow to your Mobile Bay east Gulf Coast superiority, but I am still here to vouch against the overrated South Padre Island / Port Aransas upper midwestern overratedness.
South Padre wasn't bad. It was 1978 but still -
Washingtonboth are beautiful, the rugged areas I think goes to Oregon, but for endless beach area Washington.
The @swayes control some of the prettiest beaches and rugged areas in Washington, but being a white guy the Indians were dumb enough to make an honorary tribal member I took advantage of that and used the hell out of the NW coast (had Indian body guards as the natives were beginning to get restless). -
