Oregon vs Washington - Who's Got the Better Coast?

Gulf Coast

For many categories, Oregon Coast, since longer, fully developed, and the banana belt perpetual mild weather in the far south, if that’s your thing.
Washington’s advantage is the large bays (for both shipping and aquaculture) and the undeveloped coast on the peninsula. Where else in the contiguous 48 can you hike 50+ miles of undeveloped, non-swampland coastline like you can do on the coastal portion of Olympic National Park? Another advantage, better razor clamming. -

I have been to every county along the coast of the contiguous 48 states, except three, including the entire Gulf Coast, so I am an amateur expert on this topic.

Gulf Shores works. Forgotten Coast, FL, is shit.Purple_Pills said:

I’ve lived in in Foley, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and spent time all along the way.
I challenge thy to a dual as gulf coast superiority guy. -

I’ll bow to your Mobile Bay east Gulf Coast superiority, but I am still here to vouch against the overrated South Padre Island / Port Aransas upper midwestern overratedness.

Hang the damn bannerhuskyhooligan said:Too many @Swaye on Washington coast, keeping the WA coast down. The fact the WA coast is mere miles from the wettest spot in the contiguous 48 plays a big part. Also that half of it is National Park or very restricted by blond haired, blue eyed, swede infested (those loggers had to unload in someone) native populations means most of WA coast is inaccessible, or just less so. That said 2nd Beach at La Push is beautiful.
