I don't know anything about this case. And I love and respect women. But I do know it's a universal law, a 100% correlation, that women with bangs are deeply fucked up, usually about sex. And this often will work in your favor.

If that's the case, I would put more blame on Mel for being stupid enough to hook up with her.
