    I'm never sure how much of these similar stories are really kid driven. I was a pretty precocious 12-year old, but not sure if I would have been politically driven to wear a Gadsden patch and as a parent wouldn't have sent off my 6th grader with a MAGA hat. Anyway, as pointed out in the podcast, if the kid had a Pride flag patch or a Hammer and Sycle patch nothing would have happened. But this stupid teacher or administrator is totally ignorant of US history and the First Amendment but she damn sure knows "policy" and that an OK hand sign by a Hawaiian shirt wearing kid is a secret white supremacist signal and that the Gadsden flag is to support black slavery. Someone at the school apparently has a brain and conceded the point after the school embarrassed itself.

    Teacher has no problem with her politics being on display. Team Dazzler level of hypocrisy.
