These cities will go bankrupt and they'll be banging on doors in DC for a bailout.

The vacancy rate for commercial real estate is astounding. It’s almost like rampant crime is encouraged.

Only reason Newsom still has money is because papi Biden gave him tons of money.

Wisely got out of a commercial lease group once Covid hit because I always see it. Have some associates completely fucked in SF/San Jose and Seattle on worthless properties. Lake Union and Seattle Center used to be so fun.

City is busy killing off the remaining tourism and convention business. Huge amounts of taxes were paid by people filling up the Hotels. Union Square is pretty much dead. Greatest shopping/retail district on the West Coast killed off by leftist governance.

Why stay in the Bay? Makes no sense. I know you’re a DeSantis supporter yet he’s infinitely better than any state politician in CA. You’re paying their salaries. My house an hour away from Yellowstone Park is a fraction of what you people are paying if you take away Bozeman, where only a fool would buy there now.

House is almost paid off. I'm working another 7 years until retirement. Thankfully, I don't live in the city I just work here. The state is completely mismanaged and one big liberal cluster fuck but you really can't beat the weather. Not likely I could get a job in Montana making what I make here. I was n SLO and Paso Robles this past weekend and Carmel and Monterrey two weeks before that. Life is still pretty damn good in those areas. After I retire I'm most likely out but we're still debating where that might be. Hard to beat some place that I never need to run the A/C and only need to heat 3 to 4 months out of the year.
I drove the Going To The Sun road in Glacier Park today with our family. Have done it before but it is always a privilege. Same as Beartooth Pass by Red Lodge to Cooke City. I don’t have to pay the salaries of retards in state government, either. Seems foolish to stay there in CA to me and then support a Bush puppet.

The weather is what's keeping me here. Well that and 2 more years of HS for the last one. Then it's decision time.

I’m out. Moved to Idaho. Been here about a month now, so far so good. I have a 100% remote job, so still making good income. I don’t think there is much reason to stay in the Bay Area. The weather, I will miss, but I also actually get seasons now. Maybe, if you have a good job, but there is so much pressure to get promoted, get a big raise, etc to keep up with the Jones. It makes for a work force that is selfish and greedy. It’s tiresome.

Imagine not understanding leverage with 2.5% and 8% inflation.

Relatively risk free cash earns around 5%. I hate having a car loan, but it’s zero percent so I’m paying as scheduled.
