I think the lesson here is you hire a coach for the future, not just their laurels. Petersen was how many years into Boise before we came calling?
Let’s be honest, no John Ross and no unbelievable pre Oregon Browning and no way the Huskies make the play off in 2016. Besides 2016 was Petersen really that much better than Sark?
Petersen was tired. Thought he could renew his love of football by moving. Not a problem that has a geographical solution.

This goes a little too far IMO. The defense had a little to say about that, and Peterson and staff were great half-time adjustment guys. They also recruited as well as any staff UW has seen in many years. But, yeah, he pussed out and let the stress get to him, and in big games, his teams had a tendency toward being overwhelmed and unprepared in the first half.
Wow, reading between the lines he's complaining that he didn't get enough support.
TBF, when the stadium is half empty at the start of the 3Q since people are slowly funneling back from the Zone, he's right
Hope he's talking more about the AD and not promoting players nationally like Penix for Heisman
He is talking about packing the stadium like Michigan and boosters paying players like teams In the Midwest and south. He referenced that game as an eye opener in the athletic dept as if it was news to them because they were shocked how UM turned out for that game and how important football is to other regions.
Specifically he referenced west coast schools looking down on the south and schools that really go for it in football. His point was we don't need to be like them, but need to do it takes to beat them. All another way to say "Win the right way".
His biggest turnoff in college football when referring to that stuff was how other schools recruit players on other rosters prior to going in the portal.
Pete is an organized guy who lives a solid life, kind of a football nerd who is petrified of losing. He succeeds because players respect him and maybe are a little scared to cross him.
He lucked out in recruiting a little bit in both places, but so what, he made it happen. Big splashy seasons mixed with mediocre
I was pissed when he left Boise, kind of complaining about the same fan apathy, yet he complains again about UW. Think he’s being a little ignorant, bigger matchups will bring hotter engagement , not a tweet

I don't know what the fuck he's even blabbering about.
The fans sat through a lightning storm at midnight to watch his pathetic 2019 season. It's not our fault that as usual his team developed way too slowly and by the time they showed some life it was in a Vegas bowl with Boise.
He was pulling in top 15 classes. He had a star quarterback in the making and chose not to play him and let him leave to Fresno. Fucking tunnel vision Eason and Aaron Fuller were his choices. Bob Gregory, Wellington, and Kyler Manu were his choices.
