This is what fascism looks like

There are more and more examples of universities and government organizations that are being sued for silencing opinions of people rats disagree with. Lets hope we start to see more and more lawsuits against these assholes.

Good for this young lady. Unfortunately liberals are a dense lot and they will continue to attempt to take away individual rights until everyone starts to fight back.

Illinois college ordered to pay Christian student $80K for silencing conservative views

Three professors must undergo First Amendment training as part of the settlement

An Illinois college has settled with a conservative, Christian art student who claimed the school censored her speech and discriminated against her after complaints from classmates.

The court victory came just over a year after student Maggie Dejon received three "no-contact orders" from the school that prevented her from having direct or indirect communication with three students, who claimed her political viewpoints constituted "harassment" and "discrimination."

Dejong previously told "Fox & Friends First" that she routinely participated in class discussions on contentious topics such as race relations, religion, COVID-19 and censorship, typically offering a conservative perspective.

As her three-year graduate program drew to a close, Dejong received the no-contact order after her classmates had objected to social media posts she had made on abortion and defund the police.

ADF Senior Counsel Tyson Langhoffer said Dejong upset classmates by defending Kyle Rittenhouse and denouncing critical race theory, eventually leading to the university-imposed orders that prohibited her from fully participating in class discussions.

Should have taken it to trial.

Why? So she can get some college town supporters of fascism like you to vote against her 1st Amendment rights being violated solely because you disagree with her opinions?

Things that you will never hear from the dazzler - "The school was wrong to silence her conservative speech". That's how far the evil has gotten into the new left. You have supposed intellectual elites who have "diversity" in caps and bold on their resumes that hate intellectual diversity and can't wait to impose their hive mind on anyone they can. Take the Oberlin - Gibson Bakery case. The supposed liberal arts college was happy to try to destroy the bakery. Throughout the case the university's chief argument was lying about what they did. That's how intellectual college professional teachers and administrators are.

The comment was that 80k was not enough. I responded with a way to potentially increase it. I would add that the conduct of the university wasn’t aired in open court, which could have been much more embarrassing. She should have taken it to trial.
