Their only #1 single
Glenn Frey fired him because he lost his nerve hitting the high notes -
Honesty, Try and Love Again is in my top five Eagles songs. Was a deep cut on Hotel California. Has everything you would want from the band, great musical comp, killer guitar solo and killer harmonies.

It'd be a shame if I had to wait 15.5 holes for that to hit the rotationYellowSnow said:

As a young nacho, I thought the song was called Take it the Living. CSB

They should have recruited Joe Walsh in 1973. Rocky Mt Way would have been a great Eagles song.RaceBannon said: -
Couldn't agree more. A little too R&R for those guys though.YellowSnow said:

I worked with a guy who is a huge Eagles fan. People sent him condolence messages when Glen Frey died.
His kids knew they weren’t allowed to talk during the guitar solo of Hotel California. -

It's hard to pick a favorite or best Eagles song. Hard to rank because they're so diverse and amazing in their own ways.Tequilla said:Probably my favorite Eagles song ... it's pretty damn close to perfection
Lyin' Eyes and New Kid in Town have amazing harmonies, Hotel California is fucking Amazing musically and lyrically, and the Last Resort almost brings tears to my eyes. If "somebody laid the mountains low, while the town got high" doesn't epitomize the demise of the West, I don't know what does. In the City?
How can one pick a favorite from that list?
Dare I utter, Abundance?
