Its shocking that we are in this unenviable position. Hoping the b10 lets us in for a partial share. Or join the weak ass b12. Or bring in sdsu, bsu level programs in what will offially be the worst p5 conference in football. All I know is that I am going into 23 like its the last real chance in the foreseeable future to have legit rose bowl/playoff hopes.

UW has been at a massive financial deficit to B10 and SEC schools for a decade. They are still competitive with them when they have the right coach. If they are in the B10 at a partial share they will compete with the best in that league. Recruiting would pick up because you are now in a league that is perceived to be able to compete for titles and they may actually have a real shot to lock down DeBoer long term. Joining the B12 will keep the lights on for all the athletic programs and they may be able to maintain competitiveness until 2030 and finally, remaining in the P12 would be an AD killer. 35-40m>31.7m>18-20m. I’d also like to see what UW upper campus would do when introduced to other administrations that love playing school and love competing for titles. Maybe that introduction would prove to some at UW that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. They’ve been rubbing elbows with Stanford and Cal too long. It gave them AIDS.
UW remains relevant if they land in the B10 or B12
If they think they can pull in a bunch of minnows and all is fine … then this is the end of UW as an Athletic Department as we’ve known it
So worst case scenario we'll be like TCU but a bit better.
Tcu's minnows are bigger than tcu.
Really?
You do realize that TCU is 3rd in the existing Big12 in annual revenues for an Athletic Department?
The TCU ignorance is pretty amusing
We were talking size, dipshit.
UCF/Colorado 67,000+ Tech/Houston/Cincinnati 40,0000+ BYU 34,000+ Kansas/ W Virginia 25,000 + OSU/ K State/Baylor 20,000 +
Then Iowa st is only 10+% bigger than tcu at 13,500+
tcu 12,273
(approximate numbers).
But hey, on the field, tcu only sucks a little (I am being generous) more than Hawaii who kept their blowout loss to UGA halfway (compared to tcu) respectable.
Give up. You are not nearly as smart as you think you are.
Comments
UW also has more CCs and less embarrassments in the playoffs
