When we are busy going to the Rose Bowl in the next 2-3 years under Petersen and SC is in their soon to be annual rut of 6-3 > 6-3 > 6-3 (throwing in an extra win b/c SC is SC), I hope that there's a www.thankyoupathadenfs.com
Your welcome. I'll continue to keep it up as a public service.
Here is what pisses me off about Sark.
Sark is one of the very few coaches who didn't have to work his way up to being a HC. It took him only 8 years to be a HC. It takes most guys 20 years. Plus, he spent his 8 years mostly at USC. Look at guys like Mark Dantonio, Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. These guys toiled at multiple shit places for years then after roughly 20 years became head coaches.
Not only did Sark not have to put in any time and hard work to get the job, he also got the greatest job anyone could ever get. He took over, what was until 2004 a top 15 program with a history of competing for national championships coming off a 0 win season with extremely low expectations. Metrics superiority guy looked at the 2004-2008 stretch and he said that no top 25 program comes close to having as shitty of a 5 year period. Its a total historical anomaly (though Colorado is coming close).
Anyway, there was no way anyone would be viewed as a failure and they could use the job to get an even better job. The fuckwad then gets the USC job. And he's only 40. His career will be headed downhill before he's 45 though. I take solace in that.
I thought Tim DeRuyter would have been much better than Sark, and before Woodward proved he could put on big boy pants I would have been happy as shit for that trade.

Good reason to be thankful that Woody pulled on the big boy pants to go get a big boy HC.
Two things to keep in mind for people that seem to forget this kind of shit:
1) We're Fucking Washington 2) Hiring anybody from USC often turns out to be a bad move for us

Couldn't agree more, I just didn't see Pool Boy (at the time) really stepping up.
is someone gonna register the firecoachpeetamus.com domain name>?
If he goes 5-4 in conference the next 2 years, you bet your ass we will.
I doubt he goes 5-4 for two years but if anyone deserves time its Petersen. Remember Saban lost to some tiny ass school his first year at Alabama. By the end of his 2nd year he had a national championship contender.
Petersen is going to be here for 10+ years and he's going to build a program that is in the top 10 4/5 years. The only hiccup I see is 2015 bc of Sark's disastrous OL recruiting.

I don't see him going 5-4 two years in a row either, but if he does, and gets boat raced a few time sin there....door. ass. out.
