I remember in 2020/21 when all these evangelists with tutorials (always JavaScript, never actual enterprise stacks), healthy Twitter counts, YouTube channels, etc were trying to convince everyone to drop what they're doing and learn web3 and how the crypto currency work they were doing was more meaningful. Usually a 6 month stint at Microsoft/Amazon/Google/Apple on their resume to show they were legit (but never committed, but Oh they 'loved their teams' just couldn't give them more than 6 half assed months of apparently nothing production because they had their js tutorials to attend to).
Constantly flying down to all these meetups in Miami to talk about a bunch of altruistic sketchy bullshit ideas, when it was clear that they were trying to find a way to make their old salaries without having to actually build anything anymore.
Predictably, a bunch of fucking merc scammers that are probably back to freelancing and building react websites for companies still stuck in the stone age.
