Oregon, by and large, has played above its recruiting over the past 20 years. USC, aTm, Texas, and FSU….not so much.
Really it’s all about hitting at the QB spot, where Oregon had a ton of success(Harrington, Clemens, Thomas, Mariota, Herbert) as well as hitting on transfers like Akili, Masoli, Adams, and Nix. Some obvious misses in there as well, but by and large that position as been pretty good, overall.
How far back would you like to go? 2000 seems apropos, as that was the DAWGS last Rose Bowl winning team.
