Commercial pilot shortage
It has been discussed here before but it seems to be getting critical with the number of pilots reaching mandatory retirement at 65y/o.
Congress is reviewing and there was a recommendation to up the retirement age to 67 y/o to relieve some of the pressure until new pilots can be trained.
Petey is dead set against raising the retirement age.
“The answer is not to keep the Baby Boomer generation in the cockpit indefinitely. The answer is to have as many as a good pilots ready to take their place, to have a stronger pipeline.”
This idiot acts like he’s talking about the hiring of city bus drivers.

Pete is a moron which is why he is being pimped for the democrat nomination. And he's GAY!
Well that changes everything. His pushback against a common sense solution was necessary and well thought out. I tend to agree.
We can’t continue to have veteran pilots stay on when there’s going to be plenty of inexperienced ones to hire.
ASU has an accelerated pilot training program where you graduate with 1000/hrs. Good time to get into flying if you have the necessary skill set.
Im pretty sure anyway
Do you need more specific definitions, Horn Boy?
Merit, best qualified - not so much.
Hope this helps.
Fuck the pilots. Make stewardesses great again.
They ain’t Alaska and that’s a good thing.
We had all kinds of different stewardesses stay at the hotel but the Martin Air stewardesses would always stay at the Red Lion Hotel and would sunbathe topless on the pool deck in the mornings when nobody was out there.
Of course, it was my job to make sure the chemicals were perfect and the pool and deck were spotless and all the flower beds were raked and the flowers were fed and watered every morning, so everything was perfect for our guests!
Let's just say, I took my job very seriously. It was a great job for a young man back in the 80s
