Hotels for the Homeless good idea?
They tried this in Springfield.
Homeless nailed room doors shut.
Homeless torn down interior walls to create suites.
Homeless removed copper wiring to sell.
Homeless ruined plumbing, nothing worked.
Fire Marshal came in and declared it unlivable.
Hotel was demolished.
Anecdotal, I know.

Exactly. No one is asking the questions about how they are going to keep the hotel/motels clean and in repair. Being homeless in the US is a result of the complete failure of the homeless to perform even the most basic of functions. You going to inspect each unit on a daily basis and have the ability to evict a "tenant" immediately for any destruction of property? Is drug use a cause for eviction? The word is out. They interviewed a young homeless guy in Eugene who was given a bus ticket out of a town in WY. He was given multiple choices, he chose Eugene.

Hosmer in Tacoma is a prime example of this. Concentrating large amounts of poor people has been shown to be bad public policy.

Homeless do not want to work. Ever. They want to get loaded and sit around and have someone pay for their needs. Many are mentally unstable with a large number the are mentally ill enough to be dangerous. They want nothing to do with society. Drive them to the slab city in the desert and kick them out of the fucking bus!

I have the same idea for gang members. Round up 3 or 4 rival gangs lock them all in a box canyon and drop some weapons in.46XiJCAB said:
