Is this four or five threads on the same damn story? Good grief get a life!
The old man has every right to feel threatened by someone coming to his home after 8-9 pm. People his age grew up in a time when random people didn't come to your house uninvited after the dinner hour.
The kid, for whatever reason came to his door and not the one where his siblings were, how did the interaction go? Was he polite?
At worst, it sounds like a horrible misunderstanding and wrong place at wrong time tragedy.
Was the kid trying to open the door? We dont know! Why was this young man in charge of picking up his siblings at 10pm, where are the parents?
Something doesn't jive!
Does the old man deserve to go to jail for believing he was in danger?
Did the kid deserve to get shot?
We don't have the whole story and I the media has already judged this case as usual
Just a hunch, With the 2020 riots and black lives matter bullshit, and looters and all the things you hear about on the news and internet, this old man has been traumatized into being afraid in his own home.
Want to blame someone, blame the finger pointing media for being fake.

Plausible. My wife is scared of crime now. GOP needs to realize that. She wants to be ready for me to shoot an intruder
The left hates stand your ground and loves racial division
Old guy might has well make it official and change his name to "White Home Owner" Always interesting to see the stories in which the media determines the race of the shooter and victim are important enough to report on.

This story helps that narrative
And Biden still sucks
Was this before the astronauts and engineers took over the streets of downtown Chicago for a little lawless fun?
