    Agree they deserve the benefit of the doubt and expecting them to fall apart is foolish, AND I agree with Swaye that Oregon is still the biggest game of the year.

    When you're nearing owen12 territory against an opponent who happens to be your rival who happens to be a perennial top five program who is once again the preseason favorite in the conference, nothing could establish that a new era has arrived like beating said opponent.

    Beat Oregon, Nothing Else Will Be Quite As Meaningful!

    Stanford lost a lot of talent on both sides, but they could still end up as a very good team. It might be lucky to have that game early in the season, before the new starters have gotten much experience. Young teams will often stumble early in the season but still finish with a good record.
