The wife and I have been watching the Amazon Prime remake of Perry Mason which is set in the 1930s. Of course a few things have changed. Hamilton Burger is gay. Della Street is a lesbian. Paul Drake is black. Odds of this actually happening in 1932 < 0. On the other hand, LA looks beautiful and not a homeless tent in sight.

It's not a bad show. Courtroom drama always pulls me in.

But as a kid the original was my favorite show. Watched the reruns as I grew up

No real reason to call the new one Perry Mason because it's not

When I got out of law school I realized that on Perry Mason his clients were all rich and innocent. Turned out to not be true. So, off to Big 8 CPA land where all the clients were rich and most were good people.

I was watching Judd for the Defense with my lawyer dad and asked him why we didn't have a sports car and a beach house

Son, most criminals don't have money. This isn't real

It’s no Succession, that’s for sure.

Willa is looking fine this season.

If they had just added the family dog and made it a pitbull it would have been a grandslam.

PM is another one of those shows where I've never watched an entire episode. I Love Lucy, Friends, GunSmoke and plenty others, never sat down and watched an entire show.

Gunsmoke should be required watching for every single American. In fact it should be tied to your Right to vote. Full stop.

Things I learned in school. No trannie drag shows for us.

Ole Matt Dillon went around killin" and earned his five dollar a day.
So he went over to Kitty's and pulled her titties
And fucked his five dollars away.

There’s an SC poaster by the same username. Don’t know if he ever hung out on eDuck.
