Here come the doogman posters to defend the guy. "There's two sides to every story", "it's the dementia." Either they will make excuses or act like they never liked him.
Lambright’s wife of 34 years, who told police she witnessed her husband’s alleged assault on their granddaughter, told police that the former coach “has consistently pushed and shoved her over the course of their marriage,” according to a probable cause document. Lambright’s wife “stated that she is truly a battered wife, both physically and verbally.”
When you have a family member with dementia, calling the cops and making the condition and situation a public story is 100% of what you should do.
Not condoning what was said in the story and the story is sad on so many levels, but the family made the situation worse.
The time of day this happened suggests someone was having a few "sodas".
My judgement without any additional facts is he as been an abusive person to his family for decades and as he is getting older, it's getting worse.
I think you're spot on.
Lambo's always come across as a jackass (at least IMO) and those that I know that played for him never made me feel differently.
I doubt the sodas helped ... but anybody that has ever had a family member with dementia, there are good days and bad days and the bad days can be really painful.
I find it very hard to believe that there's anything that the family gains by taking this to the cops and making this a news story of a very public figure in the community. It screams of low class for them.
And for Lambo's wife playing the victim card after 34 years of marriage, I have sympathy for those that are in abusive relationships. I lose sympathy for those that can't get themselves out of those situations and then after the fact play the "woe is me" card.

The money is probably running out so now it's a problem.
Do you guys think he'd come home and slap the Mrs. around after an argument with Hedges at the office?
I bet she got throttled after 1994 Oregon.
About 10 years ago I ran into a player while on vacation. He played for both Lambright and Neuheisal. His take was the team was relived when Lambright was canned. Said the hated him (I know, every player spoke about the difference between Lambrigth and Neuheisal). Just telling you what I heard. Some of you need to learn the difference.

Booked in at 3:01am? Sounds like Lambo is an angry drunk? They kept him in jail for 12 hours.. "sleep it off Jim"
It's going to be an awkward holiday season at the Lambrights.
