I'm thinking this Trump indictment helps DeSantis. He made the correct move. In fact McCarthy and the rest are all right to criticize this.

It has energized the base as they like to say

However I think it also heightens Trump fatigue. DeSantis becomes a way to punish the democrats without running Trump again

    Agreed 100%

Ron is ideal for me. Common sense policies that enrage the far left w/o alienating the soft as baby shit middle.

Soccer moms in Issaquah can vote for him without getting their house egged or their kids ostracized at school.

Pair him with someone that can help carry a swing state like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, AZ, or Michigan and let’s forget about the NE and West Coast altogether.

The only thing that stops Trump in '24 is something health-related or if he gets the Kennedy treatment. Otherwise, it is Trump all the way. As sure as the turning of the earth.

The Republicans haven't been this united in years but it's the act that has them enraged not a sudden love of Trump

I did title this ups and downs because we have a long way to go

The sad thing is that people who care about the rule of law and equal application of law are appalled at this banana republic behavior. Haven't seem one definitive statement from a major dem politician or political commentator about this outrageous indictment. The dazzler, mello and JW approve as does the former speaker of the house and major leftard commentators.

Trumps numbers are up. I see some democrats saying they'll now vote for Trump. They just assured his presidency.

My life was better in 2020 than 2016. He absolutely should run again and be the candidate.

Even though we have no idea who you voted for I believe that your life was better in January of 2020 than it was in 2016.

I had two of my best years in 18 and 19 so it made sense to vote for Trump. DAWG sense

Hopefully you were as smart as I am

There is a problem with your theory. Rep voters think they are punishing the establishment by not voting when their guy didn't get the nod. In other words, if Trump were to lose, those hard core Trump supporters are not going to vote for Desantis. There is clear history/data on this point. They won't vote for DeSantis to the detriment of their own pocketbook and freedoms.

Again, the left is united in their hatred for everyone who does not think, talk, act and follow their socialism. The Reps believe in personal responsibility, live and let live, fiscal responsibility, hatred of their fellow man is not what holds their political persuasion together. The hatred that is the defining characteristic of the rats, is powerful. They literally vote for criminals if they think it can give them the power over the people. Reps don't have that kind of dark uniting soul associated with their politics.

The perfect example are Those that were pissed off at Bush 1 for "No new Taxes" and voted for Perot. They knew he wasn't going to win but they wanted to make a statement. They are who put us in the messes we have been in ever since.

So was the vast majority of Americans in March of 2020 then the deep state and blue state governors and mayors blew up the economy and put tens of millions of Americans out of work. In March of 2020 middle class Americans were having real wage growth they hadn't had in decades. So of course, mello voted for a dementia patient that was bought and paid for by the chicoms who is an economic illiterate. Good work.
