I’ve been saying this for awhile. Who cares if the senate and the president won’t sign it. Pass good shit, get dems in house and senate on record voting against it. Get super narrow focused with the bills so there isn’t the excuse that they didn’t like some small aspect of it.

Unfortunately the Reps don't have the discipline nor the drive to back with consensus, or in the case you cited, only legislate narrowly focused bills.
