    Read about it, always thought it was interesting that Patton and Ike we also there along with Dugout Doug.

    Add Trump (flat feet); Clinton (endless academic deferments); Biden (deferments); John Kerry, Officer of a Swift Boat in the Mekong Delta for three months in 1971-72; 3 minor injuries in 3 months was his service. Took large camera equipment to re-enact his heroism. The Swift Boat veterans of the Vietnam despised him at the time and it was an issue at the time and when he ran for President in 2004.
    Al Gore, the TN senator’s son, served on the Army in Vietnam.

    Goron volunteered as an enlisted man in the Army and served in an engineering brigade in 1071 in Bien Hoa and worked as a journalist. The U.S. was pulling out by that time.

    George W. Bush served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force National Guard in TX and AL from 1968 to 1974 and his service was also controversial. National Guard slots were highly coveted because it meant staying stateside.

    Joe Biden received five deferments during a time when virtually every enlistee was being sent to Vietnam. In 1968, he was given a medical examination and was given a conditional medical deferment because he had asthma as a teenager.
