One of the Safeways where I live has a section of the store dedicated to all the items which get stolen including liquor. An armed guard is there 24/7, cameras everywhere, 1 narrow way in and out.

Guys it's a pandemic of theft. Been going on for years. Certain people are thieves on a another level. They opened two CVS stores in my city and holy shit what a crime magnet they are! Employees watch while they fill entire shopping cart with the contents of the entire makeup isle and then calmly walk out the front doors and dump the cart into their trunk and drive off. Then they call the police. Same thing with liquor. Entire carts full right out the door. Grocery stores as well since they sell liquor in Kali. They like expensive steaks, lobster, etc. too!

Then there are the daytime residential burglaries, armed robberies and other frivolity.

They’ve locked up all the liquor at the FM’s in my area. Where do I go to cry as a White person about the unfairness of it all. Now I have to find an employee.

And they now lock the nearest exit at 8pm each night. Shocking.

Yeah, but where you live it's just the White Claw and Zima getting locked up.

I mean everyone goal should be to live in an area where this isn't a problem

Spoiler alert there will also be lower crime and better schools

I have our vehicles serviced at a nearby shop. They no longer have a key drop because they’ve been broken into twice. This is a nice area with a lot of new development.

I’ve talked with the staff, most have been in the area for years. They joked about this being the type of shit you’d encounter in less desirable areas of Vancouver.

Criminals from PDX see easy pickings over here. I’ve been told.

I did live in those areas, even when I lived in LA, I lived in those areas. Until just recently my local Home Depot was a normal store, now it and the Safeway have everything under lock and key.

Is it “systemic racism” to lock up the booze that gets shoplifted more often if that is the preferred booze of the people doing most of the shoplifting?

I mean it's more likely they just look at a stock report and count what's on hand and lock up the stuff that's consistently off lol. It's not exactly a difficult concept

Years ago a clerk told me they lock up Preparation H because people would rather steal it than be seen buying it

It’s pretty simple. The store knows which items are being stolen and those are put behind a lock.

If your wife or GF can't stop laughing at that scene, you know it's nails.
