Question for Derek. I think you said you used to hang out with Cantrell or Staley and you saw one of them lighting their own farts on fire. Could you clarify? TIA.

I hung out three times with them, maybe four. I didn't really get along with Cantrell and Mike Starr. I showed up at their house with a woman that Starr really liked, and he seemed to resent my presence.

I got along really well with Layne and Sean. On one occasion Layne and I went to 7-11 in Des Moines, bought some stuff, sat on the curb talking all kinds of philosophy and whatnot, and I was thinking "this guy is pretty deep." And then we went back to the house (where the party was going on) and within minutes he was on the floor lighting his farts on fire. (so much for deep).

I also just realized that in yesterday's article I didn't mention that Layne died from a drug overdose, but I am assuming 81% of our readers already know that fact.
    huh?

Ewaliko was a stud in high school as a sophomore at Highline which is obviously a football factory.

    Fuck.

Hits of the (early) 90s > hits of 2014.

    Simple fact.

Did you and Lane walk in the moonlight past the Midway Drive-In discussing all kinds of philosophy before rolling on the floor lighting each other's farts on fire?

We had artists like Soulja Boy and Ke$ha, and our frat guys were pussies like collegedoog.

My frat did get Andre Nickatina to play our backyard. He did coke and fucked sororistutes in the library.

When I was a senior in high school, I went to WSU for the weekend with a couple of friends. It was 4/20 and Andre Nickatina was supposed to play at some frat. He ended up getting arrested and the show got cancelled. Still had a great time though.

Nice article, Derek. A much needed change up from asking former players about Sark and Petersen and what UW needs to do to become a power again.
