Agreed. When your president decides it's a good idea to slam an entire generation of young men into the trenches and minefields with no chance of victory, it isn't surprising that it's hard to man the lines going forward.
They need all the people they can get, especially for non combat support roles for logistics. Tough decisions have to be made during an all out invasion.
Zelensky has proven to be a strong leader in a time of crisis but he isn't infallible or above criticism. The second counter offensive was a blunder.
The Tug conservative position that Ukraine should surrender to prevent bloodshed is a naive one. They are holding on to the vast majority of their territory 2 years into this thing.
Russia is taking unsustainable loses for incredibly small gains. Any other country would be having revolts right now. Not forcing conscription on Moscow and St Petersburg helps, but its estimated that Russia has 500k+ killed and wounded which would not be tolerated in the US.
You’re posting that they need all the people they can get with your Ukraine pom-poms while in other threads bragging about threesomes with some skank you’re banging.
Throw in the absolute annihilation you’ve endured in this thread and your denial of reality in Ukraine, and you’re the perfect example of a Chickenhawk. Can’t think of a better one.
I was responding to a tongue in cheek post about getting paid to think Ukraine has the right to defend themselves with an equally tongue in cheek post.
You really don't get it and you're clogging up actual discussion on the topic. Sit out and let Sledog, Race, and other people with brains do the debating.
The endgame is to defend their land from capture and, if possible, retake as much as they can, until Russia gets exhausted and no longer wants massive casualties for very little results.
Capturing land is going to be very difficult since Russia began mining the fuck out of everything. On the flip side, Russia going on the offensive is incredibly slow going and there has not been a large breakthrough since Wagner took Bahkmut a year ago.
At this point both sides should agree to end things with the current land possessions. Russia continuing to try and capture major cities seems to be a fruitless endeavor. They tried pushing Kharkiv again and barely got 5km from their border before getting bogged down in insignificant villages.
Drones have been an absolute revelation and is the reason Ukraine is holding so much ground. We are seeing thousand dollar FPV drones blowing up million dollars tanks + crews.
So, why has the Hate the Jews dem party wanted a ceasefire in Gaza with an Israeli withdrawal while showing no interest in a negotiated settlement with Russia? A settlement which would have been a lot easier and favorable to Ukraine in February of 2022. You and the MIC were big on talking about saving the non-existent Ukraine democracy (like a good neocon and eternal warmonger) and rolling the Russians out of the Crimea and sticking Ukraine into NATO.
I don't agree with your point about some kind of settlement in 2022. Maybe Russia would've been placate by having Ukraine leave all of Donestk and Luhansk, but I doubt it would've been for long.
In the last decade Russia has annexed land from two of its neighbors, Georgia and Ukraine. There is no indication Russia was going to be back down.
Russia was expecting a quick victory in February 2022. This nightmare was not what Putin wanted but he is stuck.
Last summer proved that Ukraine will no be able to make sweeping territory recapture like they did in fall of 2022 when they kicked Russia out of Kharkiv and Kherson. At this point it is impossible for Ukraine to take back Crimea.
My opinion on things evolved as more information comes to light.
It was mined and trenched before the 2024 October Spring Offensive. And everyone knew that it was. Still boggles my mind that they went ahead and plowed forward with this half baked plan, with the US sending a ton of offensive weapons to be used for it and the media cheering it on.

That's not a draft
Hope this helps
No chance at victory? Ukraine is fighting for their homeland against an invader. And are doing a damn good job.
They are not drafting 18-25 year olds to try and preserve their demographics.
Kidnapping people to serve in the meat grinder is an interesting way to fight for the homeland
You believe in Zelensky more than any Ukrainian I know

What’s keeping you from volunteering, Chickenhawk?
Just so you're aware, bring pro Ukraine doesn't make someone a chickenhawk. It means you support a countries right to defend itself.
Was the US a chickenhawk for not surrendering when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor?
Christ

However much it costs for as long as it takes!
Does PGOS get a cut of the money laundered?
So you've got nothing. Par for the course.
Do you get a parcel of land for your shilling and apologetics for Russia?
See how dumb this is?
So what's the end game for the Ukrainian people? For the hundredth time. Spring offensive 2025?
…and he circles all the way back to the PUTIN COCKSUCKER!!! binary post.
Round and round he goes. Lightweight

They fell victim to cockiness, same as Russia did in the initial phase of the invasion.
The US advised concentrating all forces and pushing one location to make a breakthrough. Casualties wouldve been massive but it mightve worked.
Instead they probed here and there and didn't do much of anything besides die.
