I see him being very comfortable as the #2 guy at $2M/yr. at uw. He can then follow Fats to the next SEC opening. If successful there, he doesn't have to settle for a Cal if he really wants to be a HC.

I like that he’s staying as it eliminates any excuses when uw finishes 2nd again next year.

He said he wants to be a HC one day. UW is losing most of its offense after 2023, so it'd be natural to jump while he's the hot hand
I can see Cal being the best fit for him given that Wilcox has been 30-36 after 6 seasons and they'll want to go with an offensive guy
