Newsweek knew the woman was not credible. They knew that Gates was not having an affair with a male staffer. They put out a false store anyway. They knew that his opponent for office had admitted to lying and was given a $20k fine and 150 hours of community service. They knew she lied about covid data and that she has a history of stalking ex boyfriends and has been arrested before.
Still, newsweek ran with the salacious tweets by that crazy woman which were accusing Gates of being gay and having a gay relationship with his staffer. This is schiff level shit here. THis is a woman who the msm put on television for months and used her to try and do damage to Desantis' career. The democratic party got behind her and ran her for office against Gates. WTF?

In May 2022, the Florida Office of Inspector General concluded Jones' claims about the DeSantis administration were "unsubstantiated" and "unfounded."
Additionally, Jones was arrested in January 2021 and charged with one count of illegally accessing state computers and was previously charged in 2019 for stalking an ex-boyfriend.
