Do whatever you can to own your own company.

Marry a minority and have her as your CEO. Start a consulting company for exclusively government contracts that studies a bunch of bullshit but always recommends more studies.
Due to your idea, I signed for a DEI certificate program and then read just read this: https://linkedin.com/news/story/dei-teams-shrink-amid-tech-layoffs-6145858/

Is anyone an attorney here who can help me get back my $10,000 deposit I put on my credit card?
Thanks for the $10k. You bought the platinum package, which includes no refunds.
But that moral superiority has value for sure

I don't know about Microsoft/Google/Amazon, but the tech layoffs in general seem to have been a loooonngg time coming.

150k Diversity and Inclusion Officers, 80k+ front line support people, 120+ project managers, etc etc, that never ever made sense without a bunch of cheap cash flowing in.

And they still all have more employees than in 2021.

Hopefully more of my vendors can actually hire engineers now. None of them have done squat the past year.

I gave up on hiring IT help desk type people. Just went with an outside service to manage help desk shit

Still up in the air whether or not it's good but I had several people jump after like 2 months and I said fuck it.

He's not wrong. 10% of the people do 90% of the work and no one cares because it's still raking money and you want to look as big as you possibly can. The 10% just get used to the responsibility and the 90% just get used to tech-bro'ing it up.
