Everything seemed to snowball after the tax exempt donation announcement. It's like it suddenly made it okay to shovel mounds of cash into MF.

Given that Hop is still coaching basketball, Jen hasn't shown that she's leveled up.
I'm guessing DeBoer is running everything for football and telling Jen to rubber stamp whatever he says. -
I'll gladly take another two years of Hopkins if they sink all that money into the FB program.whatshouldicareabout said:

Give Mr. Pushup a lifetime contract if that's what it takes to keep football's NIL budget fat and happy -
Jen's a rah-rah figurehead.1to392831weretaken said:Is it possible that she was referring to not paying millions to unproven high school kids? UW's NIL focus does seem to be on putting a pool of money together to split equitably and most above and beyond that is to attract top portal players. A lot different than, say, AtM's $35 million recruiting class strategy.
IMO, this approach has Pete's fingerprints all over it.
Doubt he's opposed to players getting paid. What he would be opposed to is high school recruits making more than guys in the program who've already contributed to the team's success. Also Petersen has been around long enough to know you've got a better chance to win via a lineup filled with seasoned upperclassmen versus highly touted recruits who still getting their feet wet.
