I don't think the average person here realizes how shitty it is there. We? used to have ops down there and an office in Rio. The security shit we had to go through was unbelievable, and every bit of it was warranted.
Multiple colleagues came within an eyelash of kidnapping, death, who the fuck knows what, just on the way to the airport. You know what our #1 challenge was? Finding drivers and escorts who weren't on the take with the bad guys. We had to pay a shit load of money to find people who wouldn't sell out, and even most of them did.
