It's kind of a runaway train now. He should've been getting out in front many years ago.

It's encouraging that the money guys are already hedging on their promises. The mess might reign itself in.

Just had this conversation this morning with one other old person that doesn’t matter and doesn’t really know shit. Yes equal parts. Whatever the stipend was make it five or ten times that and that’s what everyone gets. Share the NCAA CFB money. The boosters that can continue to figure out how to pay kids for keeping an eye on the automatic sprinkler system or the fire alarm system, then good on them. If the kids can get extra money or tattoos for making an appearance, selling their participation ring or whatever started all this happy horseshit then congrats, life achievement award.

This isn’t sustainable. Some of these numbers being thrown around can’t be true. And if they are, there’s gonna be massive jealousy.

$2 million for a quarterback? You were supposed to sign a quarterback every year. So you’re telling me the top schools gonna pay eight to $10 million just in quarterbacks? No way.

I think you’re right—I tend to think they’re not accurate. Seems like a lot of the time people see the biggest number getting thrown around on cfb rumor twitter and then that number becomes truth. When in reality it’s substantially lower
