franchising players? He does realize the professional players who are franchised get the average top 5 salary at their position, it's supposed to compensate both sides.
giving special restrictions on players that get no more benefits (supposedly) than the players without restrictions is flat out dumb -
Not so much is it franchising a player as it is attaching a ball and chain to the player and telling them that "We love you so much, you're such a good player, that if you try to leave our team after your favorite coach leaves, we'll fuck you over. That's how much we value you here."
It's a shitty idea. Why not keep it the way it is now and fuck over everyone? -
