Ironically Woolley wrestling kind of has a similar path to UW football. They won I think 5-6 straight state titles and dominated but there was a lot of controversy - were definitely recruiting the best local kids in the area to all play there, drugs, kids worked insanely hard, coach with off the mat issues, a bizarre thing where one of the best wrestlers got outed in some creepy thing where a wrestling coach in Lake Stevens gay sex for meth thing.
They kind of burned it down and now I believe Woolley is a powerhouse in girls wrestling. No lie.

Hearing the Sedro AD is the AD in waiting at UW?
I do think the downfall was cleaning things up a little bit, but the girls wrestling thing also has a lot to do with the town simply having tough girls. It's long been a girls softball powerhouse. Ironically, at least in my anecdotal experience, country people generally actually are the ones in recent history who most support and drive girls sports.

I am hearing they are rightfully afraid of matching up against BPE.
