Kraken score goals now? In an absolute shootout tonight, already have 6 in the second period. Scored 5 in their last game. 8 in a game last week. Wild chit. They have absolutely climbed the standings. Plenty of time for shit to hit the fan, or not. EWIWBI.

7 with 29 minutes left. Wild.

Should I pretend to care about the Kraken now or wait until the playoffs?

I’m not that invested in it but it’s a fun winter weeknight distraction when they’re playing well. The roster isn’t that different from last year, but they’re playing a much more enjoyable brand of hockey. Worth some attention, wouldn’t plan your weeks around it. I miss most games.BennyBeaver said:Should I pretend to care about the Kraken now or wait until the playoffs?

They on Root? Don’t get it.

7 straight. Beat the Bruins 3-0 in Boston last night. Boston had scored at least a point in every game at home this year which is bananas.
Last I checked Kraken lead the league in away goals, telling stat that bodes well for the playoffs (barring a collapse).
Night & Day from a year ago. Still feels a little too good to be true, but this is their second significant winning streak in 2 months. I like teams that know how to get hot.

As much as I dislike watching hockey on tv, I have a leg up on the bandwagon…

So how is the stadium experience now? As a kid I used to watch the Totems in the ice arena and it was a hoot. Smoke filled dungeon with air horns and rabid fan base that really knew hockey until the Western Hockey League folded because LA and SF joined the NHL [Seattle wasn't invited because we didn't have an major league Ice Arena]. Seattle was a Hockey town and the after game experience at the Dawg House bar was legendary.

Saw Boston v NYR, Colorado v Dallas today, all games featuring legit contenders.BennyBeaver said:Should I pretend to care about the Kraken now or wait until the playoffs?
Kraken are pretty good in comparison. Either lose 7th game of the first round or lose in the second round to someone like the Kings/Knights. -
Kraken likely beat the Kings in a serieshaie said:

Probably don't beat Vegas
Don't like their chances against Edmonton
Wouldn't expect them to beat Dallas
Making the playoffs would be a great accomplishment for this roster given where it was last year ... they need to be much better defensively if they want to be legit playoff contenders -
Very solid game tonight … good point for the Kraken
Dallas deserved the 2 points
Should be a good rematch Monday -

Just got home from the Kraken v Stars. Great game. I have never seen a team score with .7 seconds left to tie. People were leaving early to beat traffic. Fags. Never leave early.

Look at what you've done Seattle. You took a great thing in the NHL and now I have to look at shit like this:

I’ve streamed their local broadcasts against #myavs. A gay Brit and some guy who never watched hockey before in the studio. So Seattle it hurts. Glad to see they’ve adopted the same inferior culture as other teams in the city. Fan base is full of bandwagon lying fucks who never played sports. Scarves up bitches!
Hope they are just good enough to make the playoffs and miss out on elite draft picks for eternity. -
I like that I get NHL every night besides what's on NHL Network (and TNT/ESPN I guess), it's a pain in the ass not getting the sharks most of the time because they're on Comcast Bay Area and now suck so they aren't on much else.coronabruin said:I’ve streamed their local broadcasts against #myavs. A gay Brit and some guy who never watched hockey before in the studio. That being said, Climate Pledge Arena, Troll Mascot, like you said they're studio people are a cringe attempt at trying to lure the Seattle transplants in...no thanks.
Only likeable thing about them is how this expansion team is all the sudden better and torturing the massive fanbases like the Canucks/Canadiens but the Golden Knights already kind of achieved that. -
Forslund is a first rate play-by-play announcer.
The rest of the TV crew ... meh.
I was never really a hockey fan before last season, but I'm now a bigger Kraken fan than a Mariners fan. And it may be expensive as hell, but I'll watch a Kraken game at Climate Pledge over a Mariners game at T-Mobile any day. -
Bump. What a sorry fanbase!
