Insane rat cruelty

Rats would rather dumb down our young people than give parents school choice which of course hurts teachers unions. It's only one of the cruelest aspects of being a democrat but it's a big one.

Parents who put their kinds in Catholic schools were brilliant. Long term? Anyone who puts any faith in a public school education and does not demand change has rocks in their head.

Why Catholic schools didn’t fail at all while public ones did during COVID pandemic

In case you missed it, American education is in free-fall. The National Center for Education Statistics released the first national test scores for fourth- and eighth-graders since before the pandemic, and the news is somehow worse than we could have imagined, with catastrophic learning loss, the largest declines ever recorded and decades of progress wiped out.

But in America’s Catholic schools, the failure and free-fall simply did not happen. In fact, in both math and reading, Catholic scores stayed the same or improved in areas where public schools dramatically declined.

For instance, Catholic students in 8th grade saw a one-point average increase in their reading scores, compared to the three-point drop for public school 8th graders. Scores for 4th-grade math stayed the same for Catholic schools but dropped five points for public schoolers in the same grade.

I own 3 houses. I only get to enjoy 1. By the time I'm done, I will have given my children the equivalent of a killer mountain or beach home. They'll most likely stick me in an old folks home.

Not sure about your numbers - need to show your work. But Jesuit High School in Beaverton has tuition of $17,250. $12,000 for Lake Oswego Lady of the Lake K-8. Per student expenditure costs for the West Linn School district is about $16,000. Given that cost for first graders would be less than high schoolers, you could give any parent a $17,250 tuition voucher for a private high school education rather than indoctrination and actually have the kids go to school.
