UW led 42-7 in the third quarter. John Elway led a rally to pull within 11 points.

If I remember right, Danny Greene returned a punt for a touchdown.

The Husky Marching Band and student section were having a blast in rainy Husky Stadium.

Couldn't find any video of this on YouTube, surprisingly.

Just remembered too that this was the first time The Wave occurred at a sporting event. UW alum Rob Weller was helping leading cheers blah blah blah

Homecoming game if I remember correctly. I was there. Sitting in Section 19. That was back when the student section was along the North sidelines, and each section was a different color. They would do an arrow with the marching band and it would move in a circle and point to the different sections and each section would stand up when pointed at. Robb decided to change it up. Tried to get everyone to stand up by row, front to back and it was a trainwreck. So then he had them stand up starting in the NE corner of the student section. Took a few tries, but it started to roll, dare I say, like a wave. In section 19 it was coming straight towards us, and to a 13 year old Alexis, I gotta admit, it looked pretty cool. Everyone in the sections next to the student section decided that it looked pretty cool and kept it going. And now the insufferable thing is still a thing at Mariner games. Damn you Robb Weller. (raises fist and yells at clouds). CSB
