"But why are rural and urban voters so sharply divided? Some scholars and pundits argue that it comes down to who lives where: that the disproportionately White, older, more religious, less affluent and less highly educated voters who live in rural areas are more likely to hold socially conservative views generally championed by Republicans. Meanwhile, urban areas are filled with younger, more racially diverse, more highly educated and more affluent people who hold the more socially liberal views generally championed by Democrats."

The premise is wrong that conservatives are voting on social issues. They are voting on bread and butter issues. They don't want open borders, they want to work in the oil and gas industry which pays a "living wage". They want their kids educated on reading, writing and arithmetic. They want to buy a truck for work. They enjoyed their largest increase in real wages in decades under Trump before the dems shut down their schools and their jobs. They want criminals in jail on not on the street. They watch the dems incite the destruction of large swaths of our cities. They want a functioning American military. They want honest elections.

The dazzler and the MSM absolutely refuse to discuss any of these bread and butter issues. Patty Murray isn't debating because she has the edge on bread and butter issues.

The claim about rural voters being pissed because the Federal government isn't spending enough on them is also pure crap. Most rural voters want to be left the fuck alone and don't want the Federal government fucking with them.
Yeah, your a logger and your told you can't log because it's important that the forests just burn. Your a pipefitter and the company you work for makes steel pipe for the Keystone XL pipeline and you get laid off from your $80k job. Yeah, your big concerns are abortion and more federal spending.
